The Big Sister

Juliana met her brothers Tuesday afternoon. She was very excited to see them and hold them. She climbed right up to get a good look and then sat down ready to hold them. As soon as Wyatt started to cry, she tried to push him away, saying "Daddy take Him!" Later she had a snuggle with Ruslan before going home for the night. She is very excited to be a big sister and loves her new brothers. She was not so excited that Mommy was staying in the hospital and that she was not allowed to climb on me and that I can't pick her up.

She came back to the hospital to visit again after school on Wednesday. She was excited that people had been to visit and left presents for her as well. One of the gifts was a tea set which she immediately set-up and then while she was holding Ruslan shared a cup of tea with him. 2 days old and already being included in tea parties.

Learning to Help

Juliana has suddenly started to be more helpful - great timing! As we are sorting out the boxes of kitchen stuff and finding a home for everything, we are taking advantage of that by storing all of her snacks, drinks, cups, etc. in drawers and shelves that she can reach. She noticed that the upstairs water dish for the cats was empty and filled it all by herself. Hopefully she will want to help out with the babies as well.

I made a no sew tutu this past week with 7 yards of pink, lavender and purple tulle (idea from Burgh Baby).
Yesterday I took her to the playground. Juliana would be happy to spend an hour there everyday. I get bored after 5 minutes, especially when I am just standing there pushing her on the swing. This was probably our last Mommy-Daughter solo outing for a little while as we adjust to life with the boys. I'm sure that she will talk G into lots of trips to the playground in the meantime.

Easter 2009

Apparently I can only blog once a month now, and that's ok. I am still working full time, dealing with kitchen construction, not sleeping, spring allergies... I am still keeping up with Project 365 (a picture for everyday) which is being printed and added to the album for the year - so the documentation exists, just not the blogging - and I'm fine with that.

Juliana was quite pleased with her Easter bucket (I refuse to buy baskets, when buckets are so useful and much cheaper). She received a book, craft projects, bubble machine and bubbles, littlest pet shop toys, glitter pencils, a little bit of chocolate, and chap stick. Upon finding the chap stick at the bottom of the bucket, she annouced - this is just what I wanted for Easter :)

She looked adorable in her dress and white sweater and we managed to survive Easter this year without a winter coat! She even left the bow in her hair for several hours - usually she is not a fan of hair accessories. And her dress came with a matching dress for her doll Missy Missy Rose (yes, that's 2 Missys). I dropped her off at church with Nonni for the morning.
