4th of July Festivites

Juliana had a busy holiday weekend. It started with the annual 3rd of July party at Aunt Natalae's house in a new holiday dress.


Saturday, Daddy took her to Forest Hills 63rd Annual Community Day (one of the many things we love about Forest Hills). She fed goats at the petting zoo, rode a pony for the first time, played in the park, and rode the train ride.

She took a long nap in the afternoon so she could stay up late. G took her to the Monroeville fireworks.

Easter

We started Easter Day with 8:00 am church. While I was getting everything ready to go, I put Little Einsteins on to keep her occupied and snapped this picture of Juliana sitting calmly all ready for church.

After service we visited with friends and Juliana enjoyed a cupcake. She also showed us how to hop like a bunny.

When we got home she worked on her new Princess Jasmine puzzle with Daddy.

Then I tried to get a nice picture of Juliana in her Easter dress.

She got an Easter bucket from Mommy and Daddy with paint, paint brushes, band-aids, play-doh, and a few treats. I love the picture of her sitting with her legs crossed and her shoes picking out from her dress.

After lots of playtime, Juliana finally took a nap. Then we had Easter dinner at our house with Scott's parents, my parents and Aunt Nancy. Yummy dinner and desert, Juliana spent most of the dinner running around the living room. She was still so wound up after dinner that we sent her outside with G to run around before her bath and bedtime.

Easter Dress Preview

I haven't had time to sort through the 100+ pictures from Easter to find the good ones. Hopefully I will get through them and post in the next day or two. I tried to take a nice picture of Juliana in her Easter Dress - here's some photos of what happens when I want Juliana to hold still for a picture. This is typical of recent photo shoots - the St. Patrick's Day picture - 15 photos and multiple breaks plus a snack to achieve that one good picture.

Easter Eggs

Friday morning, Juliana, Daddy, Mommy and Nonni dyed Easter Eggs. Juliana got right into it by coloring her first egg with the crayon with scribbles. She started out using the egg holder to move the egg around and was very intent on the process. Later on she just used her hands and they were a lovely shade of green-blue by the time we were done.

In this case - Thanks Uncle Nick and Aunt Becky! Juliana loved her surprise box of Easter treats. She had lots of fun pulling the packing materials out and scattered the packing peanuts along the hallway. She wanted to eat the cookie right away :)

Christmas Day

It wasn't quite the Chrismas morning that I was anticipating with Juliana not feeling well, but she did ok. She was surprised to find presents waiting downstairs and excited that there was something in her stocking. Soon all of the presents were open and her new toys were strewn around the room.

We spent the afternoon with Scott's family at his parent's house. For as bad as Juliana was feeling, she did much better than I expected. She had so much fun with her cousin Sara. The 2 of them exchanged lots of hugs and did a good bit of yelling - Juliana's dinasour yell...

They sat so patiently at present time and then dove into their present bags. Juliana was very excited about the Beauty and the Beast bag :)
