Play-Doh

A new quiet activity - her current favorite thing to do is just remove the play-doh from the container and then put it back in the container and put the lid back on and then say "open" start all over again. Open is a word that we are hearing a lot from her. The other day she got in the car and saw the watermelon that I had just purchased and said, "watermelon, Mama open".

She also uses the animal shape cutters to make elephants, horses and ducks and then "walks" them around the tray while making the appropriate animal sounds.

Mama's Shoes

We had just walked in the house from work/daycare. I took off my shoes and left them by the door. A few minutes later, Juliana walked in the room with my shoes on over her shoes. She walked all around the room and was so pleased with herself.

At daycare she is constantly being reminded to leave her shoes on - so whenever we take our shoes off at home, she picks them up and brings them to us and says "shoes on" or "mama's shoes" or "daddy's shoes".

Happy 4th of July

Bubble Generator

We got a bubble generator a few weeks ago - very simple contraption - dump bubble solution in tray, wands on a rotating wheel dip into the solution and a fan blows the bubbles. Juliana is very interested in bubbles, so this was an instant hit!

Shortalls

She looked so cute in her "shortalls" this morning; I thought that I would take a few quick pictures before school. Apparently she didn't want her picture taken, because this is the response that I received.



















Words - she is learning words faster than I can keep track. This morning I thought she was saying truck, but she had her arm stuck in one of her toys - she was telling me that she was STUCK. I am amazed at her comprehension of the new words - she isn't just repeating them, she actually knows what they mean. Some of her current favorites are open and closed and buckle.

Sunday Morning

All ready for church - just watching a little Sesame Street and kicking her feet before it is time to go and while mommy is getting ready.
