Disney #6

Wednesday night we went to Animal Kingdom for "extra magic hours". First we had some dinner and then went to the Festival of the Lion King - such an awesome show! Juliana is constantly in motion all day, but every time a show starts, she sits quietly and watches. Then we took a turn on Everest - highly recomend riding this coaster at night. Juliana was very sad that she couldn't ride - she kept asking to go on the roller coaster. We stopped in DinoLand for a quick spin and then home to bed.

Thursday morning we went to MGM. We started with the Beauty and the Beast stage show - Juliana loved it of course. Then Dad, Scott and I went on Tower of Terror. We walked over to the Animation courtyard and Juliana stopped to see Annie again - both in pigtails and jumpers, so cute! We went to the Little Mermaid show and then Quincy and June were there so we stopped for more pictures and the final Little Einsteins signature for her book.

After lunch at Mama Melrose, mom and I brought Juliana back to the hotel and we all napped. We headed to the Magic Kingdom after naps to see the fireworks. Juliana rode the horses right away, then we sat and watched the fireworks, then the Winnie the Pooh ride and finally the tea cups before leaving the park.

One more day of Disney fun before going back to the cold. We have been blessed with beautiful sunny blue sky days almost the entire week.

Dancing with Pooh

The Winnie the Pooh ride has been one of Juliana's favorite rides. Today we found Pooh and Tigger. The Winnie the Pooh song was playing in the background and when it was our turn, she ran over to Pooh and started dancing and jumping.

Disney #5

Wednesday morning we were up bright and early for our breakfast reservation (7:30 am) at Chef Mickey in the Contemporary hotel. Each of the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy) come to the table to say hello and take pictures.

Juliana had a yummy brownie and licked all of the sprinkles off the top - it's ok to eat a brownie with sprinkles for breakfast when you are on vacation, right? She did eat some real food first :)

Then we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. We stopped in front of the castle for some pictures and then went back to Fantasyland - first stop the merry-go-round, then we visited Princess Ariel (aka Little Mermaid), on to the Winnie the Pooh ride and Dumbo - she went running down the line queue to ride the elephants - and fortunately she was able to to get a purple one. Then pictures with Pooh and Tigger.

We went to the Country Bear Jamboree and then walked down Main Street. On our way past the castle we passed the Fairy Tale garden and it was only 10 minutes until Story Time with Belle. Juliana patiently waited and loved Story Time.

Then we went to Toontown for a ride on the Barnstormer (little roller coaster - but lots of fun). On the way out of the park we spotted Buzz Lightyear and stopped for a picture. Then it was back to the hotel for a 2:00 nap.

Disney #4

We started the day at Epcot. Juliana went on Nemo with mom and Scott, Dad and I headed to Soarin. Then Mom and I switched and she went on Soarin and I took Juliana to meet characters. We waited about 30 minutes and then she was very happy to see Mickey! She was almost as excited to see Minnie - she was very interested in their noses and tried to pinch their cheeks. But would not go near Goofy or Pluto and had to be coaxed for a brief visit with Chip and Dale.

Unfortunately Juliana was not having a good day - she was very cranky and tired. So we came back to the hotel at noon. Everyone took an afternoon nap, then we went to Downtown Disney for some shopping and dinner.

Disney #3

It was so hot at the Animal Kingdom on Sunday, we were all so worn-out after spending half of the day there. We came back to the hotel to rest and had pizza. Juliana never fell asleep. I forgot to include this picture in yesterday's post of Juliana in her Little Einsteins t-shirt - we purchased it on Saturday and she insisted on wearing it Sunday morning.

Then we drove to visit Grandma Lois. We went to dinner with her and then drove back to the hotel in time to watch the Steelers game.

Monday - Magic Kingdom all day - we were there waiting when they opened at 9:00 and didn't leave until 5:00. We spent the morning in Fantasyland riding: Dumbo (first ride before the line got out-of-control), Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Cinderella's Carousel (many times), Small World and watched Mickey's Philharmagic (3D and Juliana kept the glasses on the whole time and loved it!

After lunch at the Liberty Tavern, we went to Toontown. We waited to meet the Princesses - Juliana was very excited and was much more patient then I expected in the long line. She started jumping up and down when we made it to the Princess room - she couldn't believe that Cinderella was really there. She spent a few minutes with each of them (Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty).

We stopped for a ride on the tea cups on the way across the park.
Then we found the greeting spot for Princess Jasmine and waited for the parade to end to see her. Juliana has been talking about Princess Jasmine for weeks. We were first in line when she arrived and Juliana went running over to her.

We did a little shopping on Main Street before heading back to the hotel. Juliana fell asleep on the bus but woke up after I carried her across the hotel to our room. She had a little bit of play time in the kiddie pool before some dinner and bed.

Disney #2

After naptime Saturday afternoon, we went to the Magic Kingdom. It was almost 6:00 when we arrived and the parade was running down Main Street over so we watched the end of the parade from Main Street.

We stopped at Buzz Lightyear for FastPass and then went to the Merry-Go-Round for 2 rides.

Back to Buzz Lightyear for the ride and then back to the hotel to eat and bed for Juliana.

We spent Sunday morning at the Animal Kingdom. Juliana went on the dinosaur ride 4 times. And the adults all went on the Everest coaster several times. We also went on the Safari and Juliana met Goofy and Pluto.

Disney #1

We arrived in Orlando Friday morning. Juliana was very good on the plane - just a bit restless toward the end. After some minor issues in the check-in process and eating lunch, we decided that naps were a good idea.

We napped for a bit and then went to Epcot for a few hours. Juliana's first ride was Nemo - she was so excited and loved looking at the fish tanks after the ride. We walked around for a while. Juliana had lots of trouble falling asleep, hopefully she was adjust quickly and sleep better throughout the week.

Saturday morning we went to MGM - she was so excited to ride on the bus :)

Scott, Dad and I had a quick ride on the Tower of Terror and then it was off to Breakfast - character breakfast with the Little Einsteins - Juliana was so excited when she saw June and Leo!!!

After breakfast we went on Rock-N-Roller Coaster and then more characters - Donald & Daisy Duck, Handy Manny, and Annie (Little Einsteins).
Juliana, Mom and I came back to the hotel for a quick dip in the pool, lunch and now Juliana is napping. We are planning to go to the Magic Kingdom after her nap.
